Using NotaryWorth
A concise record of what this economic decision tool does, and where your own judgment begins.
Plain-language summary
The short version
NotaryWorth helps you work out what a mobile notary appointment is worth to you before you accept it. It is business decision support and regulatory reference. It is not legal advice, and it does not decide anything on your behalf.
01 — What NotaryWorth does
You describe your own business — what you want to earn, what your vehicle and overheads cost you, how long work takes — and NotaryWorth turns that into appointment economics: what a job costs you to deliver, what would be left, and whether an offer is worth taking.
Where Florida sets a statutory limit on the notarial acts themselves, NotaryWorth shows that limit separately, alongside your pricing rather than inside it. The two are different things and the product is careful never to present one as the other.
02 — What it is not
- It is not legal advice. Nothing here tells you what the law requires of you, or whether a particular appointment is lawful.
- It does not guarantee compliance. Statutory references are shown for reference and carry the date they were checked. Verify anything you rely on against the official source, which every rule card links to.
- It does not promise earnings or profit. Every figure is worked out from assumptions you supplied. Change the assumptions and the figures change.
- It does not replace your judgment. A recommendation of Take, Marginal, Reprice or Decline at current price is an input to your decision. You are the commissioned notary; the decision is yours.
- It does not set your prices. What you charge is your own business decision.
03 — Your setup and your quotes, on your device and in an optional account
Your pricing setup and your saved quotes are stored in your own browser, and no account is required. If you choose to create a free account, a copy is backed up so it can follow you to another device; without an account a device saves up to 3 quotes, and a free account holds up to 5 saved quotes across your devices. Quotes you have already saved are kept, including where you hold more than that — they stay visible, reusable and downloadable, and NotaryWorth never deletes one to make room. What reaching the limit does is stop a new quote being saved until you delete one; calculating is never limited, and a quote NotaryWorth declined to save stays on the page it was worked out on. While a device is signed in, deleting a saved quote there removes it from the account backup the next time that device backs up, and “Clear all” removes every quote the account holds when the account processes the request — including quotes saved on other devices before then. Clearing the data saved on a device does not change the account. From the Account page you can sign out, download your email address, setup and saved quotes, or delete the account. NotaryWorth keeps no database of your customers, and an account never holds who your customers or signers are.
The privacy notice sets out exactly what is and is not collected.
04 — Availability and changes
NotaryWorth is provided as it is, free of charge, and is actively being developed. Features may change and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Florida rules are re-checked over time, so a quote produced today and one produced later may rest on different verified rule versions — which is why a saved quote records the versions that produced it.
If these terms change materially, the change will be reflected on this page.
